Narcissus Project The collective work edited by Andrzej Bednarczyk is based on the artistic and scientific project Field of Narcissi, whose common motive is the myth of Narcissus, and the aim is to "draw the soul of Europe and seek a truth about its inhabitants." The project consisted of eight exhibitions showing various views of Narcisse's slanted figure, by Andrzej Bednarczyk, and texts by representatives of various fields of science and art. The book reflects this arrangement - the first part contains the catalog of the series of exhibitions, while the second part is an essay inspired by narcissism. As prof. Maria Poprzęcka wrote: "Texts, surprisingly often unpredictable, make up an intriguing and inspirational reading. Writingally are varied, for the benefit of the reader. However, the narcissistic figure is aroused by the curiosity and the inventive inventiveness that such diverse competencies (not only humanist and not only artistic!) Appear to be new and effective tools for the surprisingly fresh readings of the old myth.
