Ze względu na swoją powszechność rak dotyka całe społeczeństwo, ale jest to temat, o którym trudno rozmawiać, zdominowany przez lęki i błędne przekonania, które profesjonalne programy podnoszące świadomość mogą rozwiązać tylko w ograniczonym zakresie. Jednak sztuka wizualna może interpretować tę grupę chorób w formie, która może dotrzeć do szerszej publiczności. Ta koncepcja była punktem wyjścia dla projektu , który przez pięć miesięcy od września 2023 r. gromadził lekarzy, pacjentów, psychologów i artystów, aby zgłębiać temat nowotworów złośliwych w tematycznych warsztatach. Dyskusje miały na celu stworzenie nowych dzieł sztuki, które odzwierciedlają różne aspekty raka. Artefakty te stanowiły podstawę wystawy "C80 – Aesthetics of cancer?" w holu na pierwszym piętrze Instytutu Patologii i Eksperymentalnych Badań nad Rakiem. Na wystawie prezentowane są prace sześciu artystów (Ádám Albert, Emese Benczúr, Dániel Máté, Barnabás Neogrády-Kiss, Dorottya Poór i Zsuzsi Simon). Kuratorami byli Dalma Eszter Kollár i Kristóf Kovács (Gergely Sajnos).

Due to its prevalence, cancer affects the entire society, but it is a difficult topic to talk about, dominated by fears and misconceptions that professional awareness programs can only solve to a limited extent. However, visual art can interpret this group of diseases in a form that can reach a wider audience. This concept was the starting point for the project , which for five months from September 2023 brought together doctors, patients, psychologists and artists to explore the topic of malignant tumors in thematic workshops. The discussions aimed to create new works of art that reflect different aspects of cancer. These artifacts formed the basis of the exhibition C80 – Aesthetics of Cancer? in the first-floor lobby of the Institute of Pathology and Experimental Cancer Research. The exhibition presents works by six artists (Ádám Albert, Emese Benczúr, Dániel Máté, Barnabás Neogrády-Kiss, Dorottya Poór and Zsuzsi Simon). The curators were Dalma Eszter Kollár and Kristóf Kovács (Gergely Sajnos).
